Acclimatization tour Grossglockner

This two-day mountain tour to the highest peak in Austria Grossglockner at 3,798m above sea level lets you experience the Carinthian mountain world. Your mountain guide Anna Pabel and your mountain guide Markus Bucher will show you the beauties of the Hohe Tauern National Park and guide you to the top, where the eagles fly and the ibexes are at home. Our glockner tour is also the perfect preparation for the Elbrus Trip July 2020.

July 3, 2020: Ascent from Glocknerhaus to Adlersruhe at 3,451 m
At 08:00 in the morning we meet in Heiligenblut and drive together to the Glocknerhaus. Hike starts from the Glocknerhaus via the dam crown of the Mageritzenspeichers to the Stockerscharte and via the Wiener Höhenweg to the Salmhütte 2,644 m, where we arrive around lunchtime. From the Salmhütte it first goes to the Hohenwartkees. After a short climb you reach the Hohenwartscharte, cross the Hofmannskees to the Adlersrühe, where the highest refuge of Austria - Erzherzog-Johann-Hütte stands 3,451 m. So far we are about 9 hours on the road and overcome over 1,500 meters. From up here we enjoy a breathtaking sunset, before we make ourselves comfortable in the cabin beds.
July 4, 2020: Ascent to the summit at 3,798 m and subsequent descent into the valley
Immediately after breakfast we set off in groups. Via the steep "Glocknerleitl" we reach the ridge of the Kleinglockner and from here to the summit of the Grossglockner 3,798m, from where a magnificent mountain panorama reveals itself to us. Depending on the weather and snow conditions, the climb takes between two and three hours and includes 350 meters of altitude difference. Finally, it goes on the same way over the 6-7 hours down to the valley to the Glocknerhaus, where we strengthen ourselves at a stop and let the tour end comfortably.
We reserve program changes due to the weather and other circumstances in the Hohe Tauern National Park. The change of route and meeting point is also taken into account when the weather changes.

Not included in the tour price: transfers and meals.
Payment of the trip: the deposit is 20% of the trip price. The remaining amount is due 20 days before the start of the trip. In the event of cancellation of the trip, the statutory cancellation fees will be charged.
